Grants Pass...in a nutshell...as it were
This is an all-male anesthesia practice. The award for valor is a metal scrotum hung on your cart. That more or less sums up Grants Pass.
Here in Grants Pass
So I've totally fallen off the wagon with the picture posting, but I've got a good excuse. We work 5 days a week and every other week-end here.
And now I have pictures for you. This is T's anesthesia cart. It is nicknamed the Dreadnought and the joke is that you could change the oil in your car, as well as provide an anesthetic from this cart. The following pictures demonstrate normal anesthesia carts.

prophet featured podcast
Screen shot, because my podcast got featured in iTunes! :D (And for all I know, has been there for a few days. I don't check very often.)
I've been delinquent with my pictures because I'm at the end of a rotation and things got hectic. I haven't forgotten this journal, though.

Malachi
Taken with my phone (as are most of these pictures). Malachi likes to sit on the cat house with his head hanging off like this. Weird cat.

J and K's House
I had dinner with some of my friends this evening. I got pictures of some of some of the people, but they were taken with my phone, and the indoor ones aren't very good. Clickie to see the few that are viewable.

Airway
Typical airway set up on the anesthesia machine. Left to right: Laryngoscope with mac 4 blade, humidifier, endotracheal tube (clipped to hold a helpful shape), tongue blade, oral airways, and a stylet across the top.

I actually took a picture in the operating room, but then found out I'd forgotten the camera card. Oh, well. Today, you get Nim.
